Midwest roadtrip part 2

The majority of week two was spent in IL. I had the pleasure of watching my Goddaughter in a song and dance recital. I babysat my cousins and went to the Field Museum in Chicago. We also went boating on Fox Lake again. This time I joined my cousins in tubing. Then I visited Grandma and Grandpa Jackson in the Quad Cities (Moline, Rock Island, Bettendorf, and Davenport) again. We (G & G, Aunt Jan, and I) went to "the boat" casino on the Mississippi River for a big buffet.

At the end of week 2 I drove up to De Pere, WI outside of Green Bay to visit my G-town friend Brian. He's working for a congressional campaign so I volunteered at one of their fundraiser events. I also attended a wedding with him that he stood up in. I had a blast with all of his St Norbert College friends!

Answer to a comment

Everyone who reads this, feel free to comment and ask questions. To answer the questions in the comment from "Sharleena" aka my sister MARY, sensei is the Japanese form of Mr or Ms for a teacher. My students will call me Jane-sensei or Rodgers-sensei which translates to Teacher Rodgers in English. My co-workers/friends will refer to me as Jane-san or Rodgers-san like Ms Rodgers.

My computer is super fantastic and its name is Sylvia. And my favorite metabolic organ would have to be the liver, more specifically Mary's. If only I had earrings depicting livers to show the world my appreciation for this organ. Oh wait, I got some for my birthday!!!!!!

Midwest Roadtrip!

Some highlights from the first week of my roadtrip! Click on the picture if you want to enlarge it.

IL: My parents and I visited my Grandparents for the 4th of July. My Grandpa tried on his gear from the Korean War. We also stopped by my Aunt and Uncle's cottage on Fox Lake and went boating.

WI: Summerfest, Rafferty wedding, Lakefront brewery tour, and visit with friends. A time machine in Wisconsin is known as an atm. My parents flew back to Ohio and left me with the car because they are the best parents in the world. Unfortunately the night they left, I got caught in a hail storm and the car was damaged.

Madison, WI: There's only one way to describe this part of my visit - non-stop partying with G-town friends.
